My family and I have called Wisconsin home for the past ten years. We've built a life centered around family, faith, and the outdoors. Whether it’s running, hunting, mountain biking, or skiing, we believe in living actively and intentionally.
For the past five years, we’ve homeschooled our four children. Like many families, we were searching for something different—something more meaningful than traditional public school could offer. We wanted our kids to have time and space to grow, to be immersed in real experiences, and to discover that education is not confined to textbooks or classrooms—it’s embedded in everyday life.
That journey led us to Matt Beaudreau and the Educating Modern Day Heroes virtual homeschool co-op. It completely changed the way we viewed education. We shifted from checking boxes to cultivating a home filled with curiosity, rich conversations, hands-on learning, and stacks of books. We discovered that education isn’t a race to the finish, but a lifelong journey of growth, shaping us into individuals who lead with purpose, act with integrity, and contribute meaningfully to the world.
Apogee St. Croix was born from that transformation. It's a space for families who believe there’s more to learning than just academics. It's for those who want to raise leaders—not someday, but now. We’re here to pursue education for life together.
My family and I have called New Richmond, Wisconsin home for the past 13 years. We’re passionate about the outdoors and enjoy spending our time hunting, gardening, and soaking in all that nature has to offer. We also spend a lot of time cheering on our kids as they do what they love—whether it’s on the baseball field, the soccer pitch, or the dance stage. Supporting their passions is one of our greatest joys.
I hold a degree in Recreation Therapy and began my career at Gillette Children’s Hospital, where I had the privilege of supporting children and families through therapeutic play and activity. When our daughter began kindergarten, I made the decision to work closer to home and became a paraprofessional at a local elementary school. That experience led me to pursue my special education teaching license.
Over the years, working in the public school system, I came to realize that not all children thrive in the same learning environment. My husband and I saw this firsthand with our own son, and it inspired us to seek something different—something more personal. We believe every child deserves a learning experience that nurtures their individual growth, encourages curiosity, and meets them where they are. Our vision is to create a space where children feel supported, valued, and free to explore learning in meaningful ways.
Tim’s hard work and passion have resulted in an extraordinary life. Green Beret, UFC Fighter, and Television Host are all among his career highlights, but perhaps not as personally meaningful as Husband, Father, and Patriot. Tim is a great example of being unapologetically American!
As a lifelong educator Matt has a reputation as a provocative thought leader in educational and personal development practices. He is a two-time featured TEDx speaker and he was named Corporate Trainer of the Year at Stanford University, having spoken to over 250,000 people .
Like an uncaged tiger, Coach Whit brings resilience, heat, and a quiet power to Apogee. Coach Whit has become a force of nature not unlike the hurricanes that peppered her formative years. Deep empathy, sharp insight, and a fierce commitment to integrity in all things.
Full of power, vulnerability, wisdom, and vision, Coach Kevin brings the experience and solid foundation needed to change the lives. At live events or virtually, what you can expect from him is genuine love & connection with an unyielding insistence on being open, responsible and accountable.
